Express your views in a letter

Do you want to have your voice heard?

It’s easy to express your opinion. All you have to do is write a letter to the editor.
The rules are fairly simple.

Letters can be no more than 250 words. You must keep the language clean and you can’t make any wild accusations about people. You can express your feelings about elected officials but it must be done without any foul language.

Also, information you state in the letter must be factually accurate. Even though you’re expressing you opinion, to can’t stretch the truth or state false information.

The Oakland Press asks that when you submit a letter, include your full name, full address and phone number so we can contact you for verification purposes. We will, however, only publish your name and home town.

We also reserve the right to edit your letter, if needed.

Aside from these few regulations, you can write about anything you wish.
Submit letters to “allan.adler@oakpress.com”

I`m fifty years old, and work hard for my money. I`m was kid rock fan and I have seen him in concerts in the past it was a good time. I went on line to buy tickets for this year concerts and I was shocked at the price. State of michigan has one of the highest unemployment in the US. And kid rock and DTE should be ashame of them selfs charging 350.00 dollars for seats. Kid rock just lost a devoted fan. I will never buy anything thats has something to do with Kid rock.

I am writing in hopes that the school children of Pontiac will hopefully get the help they so desperartely need. The recent lay off of fourteen teachers has left the elementary children in Pontiac in classes from forty two to forty five children. I don't understand how teachers can be effective in teaching children with this class size. The children that need the most help are being put into a very bad situation.Several days after the lay off announcement it was stated in the paper that one million dollars was given to the city to remove blighted houses. That money should have gone to the children.Where are the priorities?? Catherine Grant 1941 Swaranee West Bloomfield 248-363-7287
